The Essentials that guide us
  • Rosemont Bilingual is seeking to add members to our team at our location on Boundary Road, east Legon area in Accra, Ghana.

  • For someone with a passion for helping children develop mentally, physically, and emotionally in a safe, nurturing environment that inspires creativity and gratitude, our team would like to know you!

  • Please share with us your education background and experience with kids and teaching. A successful new member of our team fluently speaks French and English, and demonstrates confidence in compassionately teaching and guiding children in curriculum and activities for children 0-12 years old.

  • Perfection is not expected, so instead honesty and growth are part of the culture at Rosemont Bilingual. Our team is our family and we help each other to be better for the community we serve. The candidates we consider are people who want to contribute to that team atmosphere and grow themselves as an educator and example for children.

  • It is important to us to share patience and practice gratitude in teaching children who will be our future community, so with this in our heart we have a *zero tolerance* policy for hitting of any kind.

  • We are the examples in the children's lives, we have the responsibility to set the example of how children are expected to treat themselves and others with respect.

  • We also value listening to the children and giving them an opportunity to express themselves and feel heard. Yelling at the children is not practiced at Rosemont Bilingual Daycare n School.


 
Being a team
  • For our team, we meet regularly to learn from each others' experiences in teaching and support one another in building the Rosemont Bilingual culture of equality, gratitude, respect, and integrity.

  • We gather a few times weekly as a team in small groups to share obstacles we faced, lessons we learned, and ideas to move forward together.



Listening Skills
  • As part of cultivating a well-rounded young person, manners and conversation skills are taught and practiced by example of the staff, as well as classes with the students.

 

  • We cover naming emotions, apologizing to peers and adults, forgiving others and ourselves, and being honest in an encouraging, creative environment. Expressing gratitude, acknowledging others, emotional awareness, and respectful communication are part of raising healthy, happy, growing members of our future communities!

 

 


Wholehearted Learning and Parent Support
  • Learning and curiosity begins in the home.

  • The education and development of the child inside and outside of the school building is important to us. For parents who want to be part of a supportive learning community for healthy child-raising practices, our team offers a monthly gathering space for parents to come together and share in the joys, difficulties, and lessons of parenting and family life.

  • We care about the children at our daycare and school as well as their parents, and want to do what we can to inspire compassionate parenting and a peaceful family life.

  • A small library of parenting books is available to borrow from for a small fee. We are also considering partnerships with counseling resources in the community to further support and equip the families connected with Rosemont Bilingual.
