Our ProgramsAt Rosemont Bilingual, we believe in stimulation through exploration. We provide children with the opportunity to create their own environments through constructive play and activities, through crafts, music-making, gardening, cooking, storytelling and plenty of romp time. Our open-ended learning tools include manipulative materials such as blocks, puzzles, books, clay, gardening kits, a wealth of art supplies and a lot more. All children have a schedule and specific activities. The Rosemont bilingual’ curriculum is created by a team of educators holding diplomas in both Early Childhood Education and Primary/Junior/Intermediate Teaching. They work together to create a base curriculum for all centres to follow by providing the Rosemont bilingual’ teachers with activities and lesson plan ideas focusing on the development of cognitive, gross motor, fine motor, and sensory skills. French as a Second LanguageThe Bilingual Program operates where half of the instruction is in English and half of the instruction is in French. The subjects that are taught in French are French Language Arts, Math, Health, Art, and Physical Education. The subjects that are taught in English are English Language Arts, Science, and Social Studies. We believe in the value of second language instruction that begins at an early age. Fine Arts
Rosemont Bilingual school is honoured to offer excellence in fine arts programming to all students. We have music and art specialists who work with students in grades 1-6. Our school community highly values student showcasing of fine arts achievement. Our annual gala Art Fair is a highlight of our school year. Our Programs spark creative connections
Our programs are creative play-based, designed to spark children’s creativity and learning through the hands-on discovery of the items they interact with. We focus on a safe, supportive environment at all times so children can focus their energies on inventive play and structured learning.
We blend materials with activities that support children’s cultural backgrounds and home languages to help them build a strong cultural identity as well as encourage cross-cultural sharing and learning. Food
We provide two snacks and a lunch each day. We use only fresh ingredients to create delicious foods with love that encouraged children to explore tasty and nutritious foods so they can find joy in healthy eating. |
